Snapshots create full copies of your Virtual Machines and volumes, generating a restore point from an exact moment in time. In addition, they help you restore data, replicate environments, and maintain more secure backup routines.
Complete copy of the Virtual Machine
The snapshot captures all disk contents of the VM or volume. As a result, you keep an accurate image of the environment for future restores. Through snapshots, you can also create new machines or volumes with the same content, making testing and environment expansion easier.
Independence from the original VM
The snapshot remains available even after the VM that generated it is deleted. This way, the file stays accessible whenever you need it.
Point-in-time restoration
You recover the VM exactly as it was at the time the snapshot was created. This helps reduce risks and speed up failure recovery.
Snapshots for Cloudlets App Platform
Cloudlets App Platform snapshots are generated automatically by the platform, with no configuration required. In addition, they ensure security and fast recovery in failure scenarios.
Free daily snapshot
Our platform creates snapshots every day during the early morning hours, with a 7-day retention period, at no storage cost. Only if the customer chooses to restore a snapshot, a one-time restoration fee of R$ 80 applies.
Full copy of environments
All stacks created on the platform (except Backup NFS Storages) automatically include this feature, keeping a full copy from the last 7 early mornings. We recommend complementing snapshots with a backup policy, as they serve different purposes.
